Speaking Email is an email management app that provides a convenient hands-free and eyes-free experience. It reads your emails aloud, allowing you to reply and manage your mail through voice commands. This app is particularly beneficial for visually impaired users, individuals who are driving, or anyone who wants to check their email without using their hands or eyes.

The Premium Edition of Speaking Email is free for a 7-day trial period. After that, you will be automatically switched to the Basic Edition. Note that CarPlay users can also explore our other app, Speaking Email CP.

How Does It Work?

Speaking Email reads your latest emails aloud one by one from your inbox. You can easily navigate through the contents of your inbox by using simple gestures like swiping left and right. This app also provides various ways to interact with your email such as full-screen taps, swipes, and voice commands.

The voice recognition feature requires a trigger, which can be set to activate on a full-screen tap, every 30 seconds, or at the start/end of each email.

• The smart content detection feature skips over disclaimers, reply headers, and email signatures to focus solely on the content of the email without any unnecessary clutter.
• Speaking Email's multilingual mode automatically detects the language of the email and switches voices accordingly using Apple text-to-speech voices.
• You can dictate your reply using the latest Apple speech recognition technology. The app reads your reply back to you before sending it.
• The "Ignore Sender" command allows you to avoid hearing emails from specific senders in the future, giving you more control over your inbox.
• Speaking Email securely connects to various email servers, including Gmail (using Google Sign In), Microsoft 365 (Office 365 - using Microsoft Sign In with support for Intune, MFA, and OAUTH), Exchange (via ActiveSync), IMAP, POP, iCloud (using app password), Outlook/Hotmail (using Microsoft Sign In), Yahoo (using Yahoo Sign In), and AOL (using AOL Sign In).
• The app provides a range of voice commands and buttons such as Next, Back, Archive/Done, Flag, Trash, Reply, Forward, Ignore (thumbs down), Important (thumbs up), Block Sender, Rewind, Fast Forward, Compose, Search, Voice, Slower, Faster, People, and When.
